I decided mine was a magic book, and whenever they pull it out they go back in time to 1904. That way I'll get some use out of those historical outfits

I don't have the scenes and settings. I couldn't afford them back when they were out. I am thinking of adding them to my e-bay wish list, but they seem so big and look hard to store. Any thoughts on this?

They are very tall and wide but only about 5" wide on the spine so you could probably slip them inbetween things for storage. I just got mine about 11:00 this morning so I haven't used them yet, but I think they'll be fun even if I barely have any Samantha collection stuff. Now I want one for each girl so they can time-travel to other time periods.
Sam's cost me $61. Other people said they rarely go below $80, but someone else got theirs for around $54.
I couldn't afford them when they came out either, and my mom wouldn't buy them for me. I actually think I'll use them more now than when I was little because my mom would have been afraid I'd ruin them and I wouldn't have been able to set it up myself.
They don't weigh alot but they are kind-of akward to carry.

I only have Sam's and it's permanently opened to the bedroom scene because I have Sam's bedroom set up in a display. I love the scenes and settings, and I wish I had gotten Molly's when they were out. But sadly I wasn't exactly in to the historical aspect of the dolls at the time.

Luckily I got Sam's in Goodwill for about $6! Ok, so my mom did. I only wish I'd have more luck with some of the other scenes and settings.

I have Molly's and Samantha's Scenes and Settings and just LOVE them both!! They are easy to store even though they are big---I store mine up at the foot of the bed between the footboard and a trunk when I'm not using them. To me, they just make all the accessories and clothes come alive---love to set up the kitchen for Molly (with my wolverine refrig etc), Molly's camp, or classroom. Also, they are wonderful backdrops for photos. I highly recommend them.

I have them all and I hate to say it, but they never get used. They are gorgeous, but we just don't get them out. They store really easy since they are flat. I didn't pay over $50 for any of mine and that includes shipping so keep looking and you can find them for about the same price as they were new.

I have Felicity's and Kirsten's and hope to eventually have the rest too.

I like using them primarily for photos. One day when I have a doll room they'll be up for display all the time like I used to do. But for now they only come out at picture time. Mine store nicely between the couch and the wall. They also will slide under beds/couches. They're actually pretty easy to store because they are so flat.

They are gorgeous, but I only wish they hadn't made Kirsten's cabin at Christmas. It kind of is annoying when it is April and Kirsten still has her Christmas tree up.

I have Molly's and Sam's, and I think they are wonderful! I mostly use the outdoor scenes, and Molly's classroom. I think that Molly's are the most versatile because the scenes are still fairly relevant to today, so they can be used with the Today dolls too. I didn't pay all that much for mine either. I think Molly's were around $45 with the shipping, and I got Sam's on ebay too for just over $20 from someone here in my town, so I was able to go and pick them up. They are pretty large, and they are also made of foam core, so you need to have a nice flat space to put them in because they can get holes and gouges in them. Someday I'd love to add Kirsten's to the collection, and I would also love it if they came out with a new set of them for the today dolls.
